  DigitalPay payouts→

  A rewrite of the consumer payout portal into a configuration-driven state machine. It carried a payout to about a million recipients, and launching a new program went from days of often-buggy work to ready to test within a morning.

  Tilde→

  A free, open-source Android app that turns a phone into an NFC business card, and the Tilde Card, a 3D-printable business card to go with it. Tap phones or scan the code to share a full contact card, a website or WhatsApp, switching between them in one tap, with no account, nothing to install on the other phone and no internet permission on mine.

  Trails→

  Two free, open-source health-record apps with one encrypted core: BabyTrails for a baby’s growth on the WHO charts, LabTrails for blood test results over time. Records are encrypted in the browser and never reach my server. AI is optional, uses your own key and only explains what the code computed.

  Product thinking

  Many features I shipped at DigitalPay were my own ideas, demoed before anyone asked. I spend enough time inside the product to see the gaps first, and design for the requirements that are coming next.

  Whole-product ownership

  I take a problem from a rough spec to something deployed and monitored. PepAlert went from first commit to a deployed product with sign-in and alerts in under a week.

  AI as a force multiplier

  I write the spec and the rules, test model choices against real data, and review what agents produce before it ships.

  Configuration over code

  At DigitalPay I rewrote the payout frontend so each customer’s branding, copy, payment flows and payment options live in configuration and change without a deploy.

• Full-time

  Senior product or full-stack roles, remote with US companies or on-site in Lisbon. I am a US citizen based in Portugal, with my Portuguese residence permit pending, and can join through an employer of record such as Deel or Remote.

• Contract

  Scoped work for startups and product teams: MVPs and internal tools end to end, payment and onboarding flows, and AI features with evaluation. I invoice directly and work US business hours.

Small hardware builds, most of them finished in a night or a weekend: microcontrollers, 3D printing and small robots. AI models have made it much faster to pick up a new field, and this is where I practice.
